Marketing Coordinator

Objective
The marketing coordinator’s priority is to increase foot traffic, customer count, and retail sales.   Responsible for marketing, advertising, promotions, and events for the store. Must have a positive, outgoing attitude with the ability to think ahead of the curve in consumer behaviors, along with the ability to foster good will in the community.  Ability to support the management, sales staff, and owners of the store. 
25-30 hours per week depending on the season.

  • Work with management to create a monthly, yearly marketing plan including but not limited to events, sales, advertising outlets, and budget
  • Create and implement marketing and advertising campaigns seasonally using email, social media, print ads,  signage, and community promotions
  • Continually update marketing material to improve the overall quality of our campaigns.
  • Create an effective in-store signage program
  • Keep the website updated, impactful, and effective
  • Blog regularly with relevant articles
  • Contact local magazines and publications to offer relevant articles for print
  • Track and analyze advertised sales weekly, monthly, and yearly for effective campaigns
  • Create, plan and implement all events, classes, tours, and fundraisers
  • Work closely with department heads and management for timely promotions
  • Monitors budgets by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
  • Work closely with advertising outlets including web company, print, and promotional vendors
  • Handle all community outreach and donations
  • Keep the Pete Pike museum updated

Qualifications

  • Creative thinking is a must
  • Must be very organized to be able to juggle many tasks at the same time
  • Proficient in graphic design, Photoshop, Microsoft programs
  • Proficient and creative in all social media platforms
  • Proficient in WordPress and web design
  • Solid knowledge of website analytics tools
  • Able to create and execute a marketing plan and budget
  • Outgoing, energetic, and able to communicate with staff, vendors, and customers a must
  • Experience in positive customer service
  • Experience in event planning
