October at The Family Tree Garden Center!


The month of October is right around the corner and we couldn’t be more excited! With the leaves starting to change, pumpkins beginning to show up on neighbors front porches and the smell of the crispness in the air, here in Snellville, GA we are ready for the change of the season. Even more exciting, we have a full calendar of events for you to attend here at The Family Tree Garden Center. Below we have put together a list of all of our events and we hope you can come and enjoy each of them:

Tuesday, October 1 at 10am it’s TUESDAYS AT THE TREE

  • FALL CLEAN UP with Anthony Gobert: Tips on Fall Feeding, planting bulbs, dividing plants, diseases management, lawn care, pruning tips, and of course what to do with all of those leaves.

Saturday, October 5, 11:30am

  • WALTER REEVES, THE GEORGIA GARDENER: WSB talk radio host will answer your questions about everything from aphids to Zenobias.  Join the lively discussion!

  • Activities for the whole family!
  • Want to help raise some money for the Alzheimer’s Association?  Bid on our raffle items!  Just $2 per ticket.  You can bid on great raffle prizes Friday and Saturday
  • Jot’em Down Boys bluegrass band 11am-3pm
  • Bruce Holliday, LAR 10am-2pm
  • Petting Zoo 11am-3pm
  • Pumpkin painting 12pm-3pm
  • Fall Container Gardening 10:30am
  • Three Blind Mice restaurant cooking demonstration 11:30-am
  • Gwinnett Master Gardeners Q&A 10am-4pm
  • Hot dog lunch 12pm-2pm
