ONE-YEAR GUARANTEE (WITH ORIGINAL RECEIPT)
We guarantee our outdoor TREES, SHRUBS, and PERENNIALS for one year from the date of purchase with a receipt. Your original receipt is REQUIRED at the time of the return/exchange. Our system does not allow us to search customer purchases, so please make sure to keep a copy of your receipt for all trees, shrubs, and perennials for up to one year. This guarantee is non-transferable with a change of homeownership. Only one exchange per plant and there is no additional guarantee on any replacement plants that you receive.
WHAT WE DO NOT GUARANTEE (NO EXCEPTIONS)
We do NOT offer a guarantee on HOUSEPLANTS, BONSAI, ANNUALS, HOLIDAY PLANTS, CHRISTMAS TREES & SOD. All sales are final on these plants, with no exceptions. All sales are final on green sticker (clearance) items.
RETURNING DEAD OR NON-RESALABLE TREES, SHRUBS, AND PERENNIALS
You must bring in the plant you are returning AND the original receipt that is dated within 365 days of purchase. Dead or non-resalable trees, shrubs, and perennials can only be exchanged for the same product purchased. If the same plant is not available, store credit for the original amount paid will be issued. Store credits are valid for one year from the date of issue. Only one plant replacement is allowed and the replacement is not guaranteed.
RETURNING LIVING AND RESALEABLE TREES, SHRUBS, OR PERENNIALS
You must bring in the plant you are returning AND the original receipt that is dated within 365 days of purchase. Plants that are in a good condition and are potentially able to be sold again (still in the original container and as determined by management) can be returned for the purchase price paid. Each plant will only be replaced one time within the year, meaning that the replacement plant will NOT be guaranteed. Refunds will be issued as noted here:
- Credit card purchases: Refunds will be returned to the same card.
- Cash purchases: Refunds will be returned with cash.
- Check purchases: Refunds will be returned with cash after 14 days / Store credit within 14 days.
- Plants purchased with a Family Tree gift card: Store credit will be issued.
PLANT & DESIGN SERVICES
Plant Potting Services
We love getting our hands dirty, so we offer potting services for your convenience. You may bring in your own pot or purchase one at the store. Then purchase your plants (Family Tree plants only) and give us 24-48 hours to pot them for you. Our fee is $1.50 per inch of the pot. (Example: 6″ wide pot = $9.00)

Looking for something special that you just can’t seem to find? Let us know and we’ll do our best to find it for you! Our buyers regularly check with our suppliers for the plants that our customers are searching for, and if they find them, they will contact you. Submit your special request here and let us do the rest!
Landscape Design Services
We offer at-home design services to help you achieve your landscaping goals. Our landscape designer will come to your home to discuss your landscaping needs. A professionally drawn plan will be sent about two weeks after the visit. We also offer consultations (no drawn plan) if you just need a little professional advice.
DELIVERY SERVICES
Free Delivery With $1000.00 Plant Purchase
We offer safe, convenient, and professional delivery of your plants and products in our enclosed truck. For free delivery, just purchase $1000 or more of plants and materials (excluding sod and straw). The delivery address must be located within a 10-mile radius of The Family Tree Garden Center. Addresses outside of this 10-mile radius are at the discretion of management and will be charged an additional per-mile fee. Plants and materials will be placed in a single area located just outside of the truck.
$75 Delivery Fee With Purchases Up To $999.99
We are also happy to offer professional delivery of your plants and products in our enclosed truck for a $75 fee on purchases of plants and materials (excluding sod and straw) that are between $1 and $999. The delivery address must be located within a 10-mile radius of The Family Tree Garden Center. Addresses outside of this 10-mile radius are at the discretion of management and will be charged an additional per-mile fee. Plants and materials will be placed in a single area located just outside of the truck.
SOD DELIVERY (CURRENTLY NOT AVAILABLE AS OF JUNE 2021): Sod pallet sales may not be available at all times. If available, a minimum of 3 pallets of sod is required for delivery. A delivery fee of $175 will be charged (in addition to the cost of sod). Delivery includes hand-unloading your sod to a single area located just outside of the truck. The delivery address must be located within a 10-mile radius of the store. Addresses outside of this 10-mile radius will be charged an additional per-mile fee.

Thank you for your service! We are proud to offer a 10% discount to all currently serving or retired military members. Just present your valid military ID or veteran-marked state driver’s license to your cashier at the time of purchase. Excludes sale items, seed, sod, straw, gift cards, and services. Senior Discount Wednesdays
We value our senior customers! Every Wednesday, we are happy to offer a 10% discount to anyone who is at least 62 years old. Just present your driver’s license or state ID to your cashier at the time of purchase. Excludes sale items, seed, sod, straw, gift cards, and services. Cannot be combined with other discounts.
Master Gardener Discount
We support our master gardeners! You’re serious about gardening, and we’re serious about supporting that passion. We are pleased to offer a 10% discount to anyone with a valid master gardener’s ID. Excludes sale items, seed, sod, straw, gift cards, and services. Cannot be combined with other discounts.
PROFESSIONAL LANDSCAPER DISCOUNT: We offer a 20% discount to qualifying landscapers with a valid Tax ID. Excludes sale items, seed, sod, straw, gift cards, and services. All landscapers must APPLY IN PERSON at our store and have an account set up in our system. Approval will be determined by management before any discounts can be applied.
